Daniel was born on the 30th September 1985 in North Shields,Tyne and Wear.
At the age of 9, Daniel began performing with local operatic societies and went on to play such roles as Freddie Einsford-Hill in 'My Fair Lady' and Perchyk in 'Fiddler on the Roof', as well as acting as Dance Captain on 'Copacabana' and 'Hello Dolly'. He then went on to study music and singing with the prestigious Kenneth Ormston, where he appeared in several concerts and won several trophies in music festivals all over the North of England.
After leaving High School, Daniel then went on to begin his professional training at Newcastle's Performance Academy, studying Musical Theatre for 2 years under the supervision of Katherine Quist; Completing his training in 'Fame: The Musical' leading the cast playing Nick Piazza.
Upon leaving Newcastle Performance Academy, Daniel gained a place at The Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre in London, where he studied for 3 years, gaining a Batchelor of Arts Degree.
Whilst at Arts Ed, Daniel had the privilege of singing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 'Good Thing Going: Simply Sondheim' at Cadogan Hall, Dancing at the Year on Year 'Whatsonstage.com Awards 2008' at London's West End Lyric Theatre, Dancing for Dougie Squires in a Royal Command performance at Horse guards Parade, Westminster, and also appearing in the ensemble of 'Barbara Cook and Friends' at The London Coliseum
Parts played at Arts Ed include, Carbuckety in 'Cats', Joe in Roger's and Hammerstein's 'Pipedream' and Sir Roderic Murgatroyd in Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Ruddigore'.
Upon graduating Arts Ed, Daniel was cast in The Steam Industry's Summer season at 'The Scoop' on London's famous South Bank, where he played Woodcutter in Lorca's classic 'Blood Wedding' and also won critical acclaim playing the part of Claude in the new musical 'Petite Rouge: A cajun Red Riding Hood'. Daniel then went on to appear with The Mercury Theatre's Repertoire company in Colchester, Essex, appearing in 'Dick Whittington and the Pi-Rats of the Carrebean' firstly as understudy and then taking over the part of Jim Lad. Here he also appeared in a rehearsed reading of Fraser Grace's new piece 'King David: Man of Blood'. Shortly after The Mercury Theatre, Daniel was cast in the new Jason Charles play 'Estranged' which premiered at London's Courtyard Theatre, where he again received critical acclaim playing the role of Justin.
The festive season saw Daniel playing the role of Dandini in 'Cinderella' at The Mercury Theatre, Colchester before returning to London to don a pair of heels performing in the critically acclaimed 'The Velma Celli Show', which went on to gain residency at Soho's fashionable 'Madame Jojo's'.
As a creative and passionate performer, Daniel spent a large part of 2010 workshopping new pieces of Musical Theatre including 'Red Square' by Dylan Summers, 'Anton of the Barrier' with Jemma Gross, 'From I to Y' by Kieran McGinn and 'Sorrow' by award winning writing duo, Danielle Ward and Martin White.
Spreading his wings further a field, Daniel then went on to perform at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he joined a cast of exciting and accomplished comedians in the '...5* Critics Choice...' new musical 'Gutted: A Revengers Musical' at The Assembly Rooms. Upon his return, Daniel embarked on a new venture supporting and creating new musical theatre, working with writers Dylan Summers, Christine Donald, Gabriella Burnell and Director Adam Lenson in 'Loreli', 'Cloudcuckooland' and 'Skin Deep' at The George Wood Theatre, London.
Christmas saw Daniel back at The Mercury Theatre, Colchester appearing as 'Genie' in their exciting new telling of the adventures of 'Aladdin' and the New Year brought with it an exiting transfer to The Charing Cross Theatre in the heart of London's West End for 'The Velma Celli Show'.
2011 has seen Daniel continue to expand his repertoire; he recently wrapped up filimg on 'The Other Child' a film for the BBC, and is also reaching completion of his first in a series of novels, named 'Tales from The Tribus', a project which has been a real labour of love for him.
He is currently appearing in 'The Velma Celli Show' at The Brickhouse in Shoreditch, London, and will be returning to The Mercury Theatre, Colchester, for this years classical pantomime; Beauty and the Beast.
